Women United, an affinity group of United Way of the Big Bend, represents an influential force of women leaders and philanthropists who give, advocate, & volunteer to impact the lives of our neighbors throughout the Big Bend. Each Spring, Women United hosts their annual Power of the Purse event which serves as a networking & friend-raising event for women & all members of our community wishing to create positive change through lifting up those in poverty and at the edge of poverty through their time, talent, & treasure. Proceeds from Power of the Purse support early learning initiatives of United Way of the Big Bend.
